LUCKY THINGS      

1. The bull is considered lucky because it is symbol of power and health, while in the past the bull was important because it was used to work in the lends.                                                                      
2. The acorn is considered lucky because English people, during wars used acorns like a food to survive.                                                        
3. The stars was considered lucky because, in the past, it meant universe mysteries and the perfection man.

                                                             

MY FAVOURITE BRAND 

My favourite brand is "Guess". The brand Guess was born in Los Angeles in 1981 by four brothers (Marciano's brothers).

They became famous with a jeans' line. 

In 1983 they did a line for man and jewelry, perfumes and   shoes.

The logo is an inverted triangle with the written "GUESS".

KATY PERRY

Katy Perry is 24 years old and she is American. Katy is the star of the moment, she had two massive hits: "I Kissed A Girl", which was about her attraction for another woman, and "Hot N Cold", which was about her problematic boyfriend. Other to her music, Katy Perry is famous for her colorful clothes. Katy Perry's childhood probably wasn't typical for a pop star. Katy began singing in a church. She published her first album at the age 15. She used her real name, Katy Hudson, but after she changed her name to Katy Perry because "Katy Hudson" could be confused with the actress Kate Hudson. 

A STRANGE ARTICLE

Countries discuss same-sex marriage, but not marriage to a bridge. Last month, an Australian artist, Jodi Rose, fell in love with a 600 -year- old bridge in France and married it. France does not agree  with marriages between people and bridges. Fourteen guests went to the wedding to see the couple become bridge and wife. The mayor of the near by town blessed the marriage. Jodi wore a white wedding dress. She gave the bridge a very large ring. Jodi Rose visits bridges worldwide to record their sounds and movement. She makes experimental music. She said it was love at first sight for her bridge. She blogged that:"Although he is made of stone...I feel at peace...He makes me feel connected to the earth," especially after travelling. Ms Rose said she loves "the spiritual vibration in everything". She said her new partner is:"The perfect husband... strong and silent".

EARTH  DAY

Earth Day  is an annual event, celebrated on the 22th of April  on which day events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in more than 192 countries each year. According to Nelson, the moniker "Earth Day" was "an obvious and logical name" suggested by "a number of people" in the fall of 1969, including, he writes, both "a friend of mine who had been in the field of public relations" and "a New York advertising executive," Julian Koenig". Koenig, who had been on Nelson's organizing committee in 1969, has said that the idea came to him by the coincidence of his birthday with the day selected, April 22.

CINCO DE MAYO

Cinco de Mayo  is a celebration held on the 5th of May . It is celebrated in the United States and in Mexico.The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on the 5th of May,1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguin.

Cinco de Mayo is sometimes mistaken to be Mexico's Independence Day.

PHARRELL WILLIAMS

Pharrell Williams is the star of the moment. His single "Happy" has been on international hit. He called his album " G I R L", all capital letters and two spaces between each letter, because he wanted to make on album for explaning the full spectrum of his appreciation for women.
Pharrel also works in a number of other fields. He has a fashion label. He has worked as a sculptor and he is houses's design.

INTERNATIONAL WORKERS' DAY

The International Workers' Day, also known as Labour Day,  is celebrated on May 1st of each year in many countries around the world to commemorate the achievements of the workers in the economic and social, The date was chosen for International Workers' Day by the Second International to commemorate the Haymarket affair, which occurred in Chicago on May 1st 1886. Some countries celebrate a Labour Day on other dates significant to them, such as the United States which celebrates Labor Day on the first Monday of September.
